Hyderabad city avails a number of means of transportation. The
city is connected to other major cities and states by air, rail and
road. The city also constitutes as one of the entry points into Indian
mainland from other countries.
Hyderabad has an airport that provides for both domestic and
international terminal. Several airlines like Indian Airlines, Jet
Airways, Sahara Air and Modiluft provide their services to Indian cities
and beyond. At Secunderabad, the twin-city of Hyderabad, is located
headquarters of the South Central Railway Zone. The railways provides
access to most of the cities around. The city is further connected by a
vast network of roads. The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport
Corporation (APSRTC) provides bus services within the city and also the
interstate services. The central bus station is at Ranigunj Depot,
Secunderabad. Apart from state run agencies numerous private operators
provide inter city and inter state services.
