Sanathnagar is a small industrial area lying west of Begumpet
in the Secundrabad city of Andhra Pradesh. The place is situated
towards the north west of the state capital that is Hyderabad city.
Sanath Nagar is connected to the famous Pearl City by major roads
including Sanathnagar Road and Balkampet Road. The railway line
travelling through the region also reaches the city and as such
provides access to the township.
Sanathnagar features a typical industrial estate with industries
dominating the region. The region is somewhat planned and features
many rectangular landholdings providing the space for manufacturing
units and regular residential blocks. Conspicuous in the region is
the Alladin Officers Colony, Sanathnagar Quarters, Erragadda and
Balkampet.
Sanathnagar as was mentioned before houses primarily industries and
some noted ones too. The big names in the region include Kohinoor
Glass Factory, Hyderabad Asbestos, Lipton India (P) Ltd, Allwyn, ABC
India Ltd, A.P.Electrical Equipment Corporation.
Apart from Industries the region also features some important
government establishments. Food Corporation of India and Andhra
Pradesh Small Scale Industries Development Corporation are two
important institutions operating from the region.
For local population there are provisions in the form of schools,
shops, hospitals and more. Some noted hospitals based in Sanathnagar
are St.Theresa's hospital, E.S.I.C hospital and TB Hospital.
Accessibility :
- Sanathnagar is located in Secunderabad and lies north west
of Hyderabad. From Hyderabad it takes about 45 minutes to reach
the place.
- Travelling from other cities or districts it gets convenient
to drop at Sanathnagar Railway Station and as such reach the
place.
- The famous airport that is Hyderabad Airport lies to the east
of the place and not more than 3 kms from it.
