Mehdipatnam

Towards the west of Nampalli suburbs is located yet other important township called Mehdipatnam. Mehdipatnam being close to epicenter of Hyderabad has much in common with the city. The Dhulpet Road is the major road link connecting the area with the township. There are many smaller roads that lead into the nearby township, Nampalli.

Mehdipatnam is a commercial area and has a plethora of institutes and establishments. Located within the premises of this area are numerous schools and popular training institutes, small business enterprises, banks, hotels, restaurants, hospitals, local markets and more. Mehdipatnam does not house any thing that can said to have an artistic touch or architectural marvel. The region however has locally popular places and sites grounded within it.

Apart from trade and commerce a good figure of population resides in the localities situated here. The bus stand called M.P.Bus Depot is known to provide services to several places in and around the city. There are some important government offices also located in the township. The Passport Office operates from this place only.

Present at Mehdipatnam are many religious and worshipping places, some of them famous throughout the city. The Mallepali Masjid is one such place located in the vicinity. Rest is as green and blue as the rest of Hyderabad.
