On the western precints of Hyderabad stand a popular suburban
region called Jubilee Hills. The place is situated on the way to
highly acclaimed Hitech City from Hyderabad. Jubilee Hills is some
what sandwhiched between Hitech City in the north west and Banajar
Hills in the south east. Roadways provides access to the region from
the city.
Jubilee Hills consists of many places inhabited by the local
population. The region is split into small colonies and commercial
areas. Most of the necessities are provide within these holdings.
The nearby township of Banjara Hills also supplements further
facillities to these areas. An important attraction here is the Kasu
Brahmanand Reddy National Park. The park spread over sprawling 158
hectares of land consists of forest vegetation and is inhabited by
rich bird and animal population. The park however, has been going
through difficult times with the tree fall in order to widen the
roads.
The Film Nagar located in the south is yet other important site.
Amonst colonies Journalist Colony and MLA Colony stand out as
popular residential places. The card-carrying establishments located
in the region include Institute of Yoga and Nature Care, Hyderabad
Gymkhana, L.V.Prasad Eye Clinic, Appolo Hospital and Krishna
Hospital. Present in the township are many studios and restaurants.
The famous studios located in the region include Ramanaidu Studio,
Padmalaya Studio and Annapurna Studio.
Accessibility :
- Jubilee Hills lies north west of Hyderabad city center and
about 8 kms from it. Buses plying between these two places
provide convenient means of commutation.
- Khairabad Railway Station puts at Khairabad locality which
is some 5 kms from Jubilee Hills.
- The airport located towards the north east provides air
services up to Begumpet, some 7 kms from Jubilee Hills.
